...of zombies and french toast...

While my husband is touring Texan restaurants with prominent "No Weapons in Restaurant" signs (it is Texas, after all), I've taken over all duties.

Which meant a 5:30 wake-up call this morning. I don't do well with 5:30 wake-up calls. This is at least four hours earlier than any human being ought to get up on a weekend, and a solid hour earlier than I wake up on a work day.

So. Tired.

On another note, we've devised the perfect French toast. First, start with a dozen creme brulees. Why? Because you'll need all the leftover egg whites to make an angel food cake, of course.

Cut the angel food cake into half-inch slices, and spread some Nutella between two slices. Now you have a Nutella and angel food cake sandwich - good on its own, but let's go a step further. Dip the sandwich in French toast batter, fry in a hot (and buttered, of course) non-stick pan and voila! You would not believe how good this really tastes. Seriously. You ought to give it a try.
